Statute of limitations
4 years
Neb. Rev. Stat. § 25-207
Four years from the injury. That number is long. Do not treat it as a reason to wait.
- A political subdivision generally needs a written claim within one year (§ 13-919). Miss it, and the four-year story does not save the file.
