Pennsylvania (no 2020s rewrite)

No Florida-style 2020s overhaul. Venue and med-mal fights are the usual terrain.

If you share blame
If you are more than 50% at fault, you recover nothing. At 50% or less, your recovery is cut by your share of blame.
Ordinary injury time limit
2 years. 42 Pa.C.S. § 5524. Tolling, discovery rules, and other claim types can change that. Use the time-limit tool, then have a lawyer confirm the subsection.
Caps on pain and suffering
No general PI cap. Med-mal has its own certificate-of-merit and damages architecture.

What that actually means

Two-year clock, 51% bar. That is the working map for an ordinary injury file.

Pennsylvania has not run a 2023-style comprehensive rewrite. The pressure shows up in venue, med-mal certificates, and joint-and-several edges instead.
